What is hypnosis?
There are many myths about hypnosis and we would like to dispel them.
First, hypnosis is NOT about:

Does hypnosis work?
Everyone has the potential to be hypnotised, some more than others.  Some
go into a deep trance, others into a light trance.  Either way, positive
suggestions can be made to the non-conscious mind.

How does Hypnosis work?
Our minds work on two levels – the Conscious and the Non-conscious
levels.  We make decisions, think and act with our conscious mind. The
Non-conscious is responsible for all the automatic functioning of the body.  
It also controls our habits.  In the relaxed state known as hypnosis, we can
communicate directly with the non-conscious mind.  This is why it is so

What if I can’t be hypnotised?
Many people think that the only ones who can be hypnotised are those
with no willpower.  This is not true.  Generally speaking, every normal
person is hypnotisable – that is, people with an IQ of at least 70, and no

How will I know if I am hypnotised?
Most people can’t tell the difference between the hypnotised state and the

Hypnosis is completely safe.  You are aware and in control at every

Only a very basic form of suggestion-only hypnosis can be used in group
sessions.  It does not allow for sessions to be tailor-made to your own
individual needs.  Group hypnosis has been tested, with only a 10% to 30%
